Generation Disaster

Autobot Headquarters, Earth, 2023
"Alright Hotshot, what is it?" Optimus Prime asked.
"Well sir, it looks like we are gonna have company." Replied Hotshot.
"Decepticons?"
"Negative, sir, it appears to be an Autobot transmission code."
"Keep me posted and inform me on their arrival"
"Yes Sir"
20 minutes later….
Three Autobots are greeted by Hotshot and Ironhide as they approach the compound.
"Welcome to earth. I'm hotshot, what brings you three here?"
"We have an urgent matter to discuss with Optimus" Said Hound.
"You can wait in the briefing room, I'll notify Optimus. But who are you bots?" Hotshot Said.
"I'm Hound, and this is Surge and Goldbug." Replied Hound.
In the Briefing room.
"Hey Hound, you really think Optimus is gonna believe us?" Surge asked.
"I'd say it’s a gamble, but Goldbug here is proof enough. Not evening the Decepticons could contrive something like this. It has to be the truth. Large mechanical doors open as Optimus enters the room. "I understand you three have an urgent matter to discuss with me?"
"Yes, sir." Said hound.
"Very well, but start with who you are. I'm not familiar with any of you." Optimus said.
"Sir, Surge and I are explorers. We've been away from Cybertron for a very long time, and Goldbug is a new friend whom we found in the far reaches of the Galaxy." Hound started. "You see about 200 earth years ago, Surge and I, were studied ancient Autobot history. This lead us to the core of Cybertron itself, and there we found strange records that indicated an Autobot and Decepticon civilization much longer ago than any history chip had data on, but they were scarce. We decided to search the Galaxy for any remnant or evidence of an earlier transformer history or a different one than we know. Upon reaching the farthest out linings of the galaxy, we began to lose hope. Yet, fortune was upon us. We stopped at planet Qurthos and learned of an old Autobot who lived on a planet called Stemus, which was only another steller cycle away. That's where we met Goldbug here, he is the oldest Autobot still functioning and he told us what we feared. Cybertron and Earth were once just as technologically advance as they are now, but ages ago. There was a disaster in which both earth and Cybertron were decimated. History on both worlds only goes back to just about a century after that. When civilizations began to rebuild. Goldbug, why don't you tell Optimus the rest."
"Sure thing hound." Goldbug began. "Optimus, I once fought beside the original Optimus Prime and later Rodimus Prime as we battle Galvatron and the Decepticons of my time. We had them on the run, or so we thought. Galvatron had a wicked plan, and I'm afraid we failed. Galvatron built some sort of super weapon to destroy earth, just to get rid of us, the Autobots, but something went wrong in his plan. He powered the weapon by taking Micromasters (mini Autobots and Decepticons) so that they could interface with him and his weapon, draining the energies and ultimately extinguishing their sparks. He succeeded in destroying earth, well most of it anyway. Very few cities remained and those were small villages. History for Earth started over at that point, 2023 years ago. On Cybertron, where Galvatron fire his super weapon, the device backfired and caused devastation everywhere. In doing so, he destroyed himself, but also all life on Cybertron. Rodimus' last order for me, as I was the last Autobot able to function fully, was to get far away in case Galvatron somehow survived and to try and do what I could after the radiation wore off. I watched as all my friends and comrades were destroyed. There was nothing I could do. I traveled far in the galaxy and settled on Stemus. I stayed there for 10 years, trying to think of someway to help. But I couldn't do anything, if only Wheeljack or Ratchet would have survived, but no. I was on my own. After ten years, I returned to Cybertron, it was a major wreck and made the planet of junk look like paradise. I searched the planet for decades before it hit me. I traveled to the core, the find Vector Sigma or Primus. But Cybertron's core was disabled, but I managed to get some energon into it and it started operating again. I instructed it to rebuild, but it didn't seem to do anything. So I just gathered some supplies and went back to Stemus. But I guess it did rebuild, in fact it looks like Cybertron started all over again, just as Earth did. I would never have known if not for Hound and Surge finding me."
"Hmm, this is very intriguing. All life on Cybertron and Earth were wiped out, and then rebuilt over time." Optimus ponders. “This is incredible, Goldbug, But why have we not found evidence of previous civilizations with technology here and on cybertron?”
“I can't say I have the answer, I'm surprised at that myself” Goldbug continues “but I'm guessing cybertron recycled itself to create everything anew. As for earth, maybe Galvatron's weapon somehow destroyed any physical evidences there would have been. I wonder, by Primus, that maybe why there is a much larger amount of Energon heeon Earth then there was when my Prime and I were here all those years ago. But I don't know that. Either way, we'll figure it out, you've got a good team here.”
“Thanks, That's an interesting theory, it really gets my cogs rolling, but we'll discuss that later. I would like to learn more of the early Autobots and especially, Optimus Prime. Will you three be staying with us?" Optimus asks.
"Surge and I must continue to explore and learn, Goldbug your welcome to join us if wish." Hound says.
"I think my place is here, with Optimus and the Autobots, if there is a Decepticon threat, then I must stay and fight till all are one." Goldbug replied.
Minutes later in the command center.
"Autobots, I like to introduce our newest team member, Goldbug…..
