As time passes I find it difficult to post often, and although I would prefer to post weekly - I simply don’t have the time. I do and will continue to post when I can. That be said lets move on....
Things for us over at Disciplined Monkey Studios are really picking up. Our Weekly podcast is always a delight, and dare I say stupid people continue to keep us entertained. We are sending a few of our team out to San Francisco this weekend to cover Wonder-Con and hopefully we will be able to give you a live report from them in our podcast. And of course, we will be at Comic-Con later this year.

I’ve also been working hard on a new poem, it’s just about finished. This one struggles with the torment of deciding whether to take a risk. When I have it finalized and recorded, I shall share it with you all.

In other news, I just upgraded my Macbook to 4 GB of ram, installed ilife 09 and Office 2008.
I’m also experimenting with Parallels 4.0 and the Windows 7 beta. With 4GB of ram, the speed isn’t noticeable with everyday tasks, however everything seems more stable and fluid. 1GB is definitely too old school for todays world. The exception is for those that do nothing more that surf the internet and type. For most of us, we need more because we deal with digital pictures, movies and music. With an older OS such as Windows XP or OS 10.3 or 10.4, that was mostly ok.
iLife 09, I’m liking it-but most of the new features are icing on the cake. Although, I like what I’m seeing in iweb and garageband. iphoto, is nice but not a huge improvement. imovie is one that I haven’t used yet, but I’m sure I will once I get my new camcorder- a Canon HG20.
Office 2008 brings the enhancements of Office 2007 for windows to the mac, without the ribbon. Enough said, it does what I need and thats that.
Parallels is where I’m having fun, and the 4GB of ram is truly being used. Their new coherence mode has a nice look to it and makes it easy to work in both Windows and Mac at the same time. I’ve just installed Windows 7 Beta on this Macbook with Parallels, I have it set to us 1GB of ram and 128MB of video for now. Runs fine, but Parallels doesn’t support Aero, which makes it look less appealing but still functional. I’ll try and give you more details later.

Lets, see I’ve been playing a lot of Call of Duty World at War on the Xbox 360. Other than some people obviously cheating in the multiplayer games, its a fun challenging and rewarding game.
I’ve also picked up and played through Spider-Man Web of Shadows. This game has got an awesome storyline and game play. The physics are off a little and can be taxing on your dvd rom of your 360, so your best bet is to install it to your hard drive. The gameplay was noticeable smoother after I did that. I’m gonna play through this one again for sure! Another game I picked up was 007 Quantum of Solace. It’s been fun to play, but the game feels a little cheap. I feel there should be more interaction with objects. You can only pick up cell phones and weapons, and the details are in some areas lacking. But overall fun to play. I’m debating what game I should get next!
