Technology always gets better and better over time, new innovations making things easier for us or simply helping with problems. The technology for creating cybernetic limbs has come a long way and a recent prototype was tested and controlled via the human brain recently at Italy's University Campus Bio-Medico of Rome. Luke Skywalker would be impressed, but its still years from mainstream.
Intel is also always working hard. They have unveiled an impressive 48 core cpu. Which will work kind of like cloud computing systems do. But this way a smaller footprint physically. What caught be as awkward was this quote from Intel Chief Technology Officer Justin Rattner.
"The machine will be capable of understanding the world around them much as humans do, They will see and hear and probably speak and do a number of other things that resemble human-like capabilities, and will demand as a result very (powerful) computing capability."
Can you say Cyberdyne Systems or Skynet anyone? LOL, but maybe this will be good for us, maybe not. Maybe the Antichrist will come as a machine, not as a human or person per say. Maybe I’m just screwing with your mind. But these are some pretty cool advances.
