I’m a gamer and sometimes I will be playing for way too long at one time. It’s not uncommon for gamers like me, but it does create a challenge. Often times gamers did to get a little large and unhealthy. Can you quickly dash across the street without getting winded? How can we as gamers stay in shape and more importantly be healthy? Simple, Just follow my process. You see some of us that are gamers do stay in shape. This doesn’t mean you will necessarily turn into a big muscle behemoth, but it will definitely help. One eat healthy. Stop with the sodas and junk food. Start drinking water and eating healthy, especially during meals. Avoid fast food if you can. And if you can't figure that out, talk with your doctor about creating a dieting plan that works for you.
Next, let’s get physical. Most games have loading screens that range from a few minutes and up. There are also the times that you die or fail a level. Take these few minutes a do a rep of say 20 pushups. Next time do 20 sit ups. You can also mix in other safe strength training exercises. Those two alone can help you go a long away to getting healthy and trust me you will feel better. Thirdly, try and get outside for some sun everyday. Even if it is just a short walk around the block. Jogging or running is better, but work yourself up to it. And don’t forget to stretch if you do run or jog. I would also recommend joining a gym if you have the time. Not all of us do. And if you have any questions check with your doctor, they can be a world of information.
Is this helpful for you? Do you as a gamer have any advice to share as to how you stay in shape? Let us know.
Ok folks game on and be healthy!
