Techie Vista advice

For those of you that are Running Windows Vista with Mozilla Firefox you may have noticed that your media like Quicktime do not work in the browser. Now this may only be in the 64bit version of Vista, but either way-we know Apple Quicktime is not yet fully supported in vista and thus the problem where Firefox doesn't find/ recognize the plugins or maybe Quicktime couldn't install them there, either way this is how I fixed it.
First go to a windows XP machine (in this case Media Center) with Firefox, Quicktime and any other media apps you need installed . Browse to the plugins folder under Mozilla Firefox. Typically, c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\. Copy the entire plugins folder to say a USB flash drive and then go to your Vista machine and open the same folder. If 64 bit version, then c:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\ and paste the entire plugins folder there. This way the plugins from your XP machine get registered on your vista machine under Firefox. From there just open Firefox and goto Apple.com and watch a Quicktime movie trailer to insure it worked correctly.
