I recently upgraded my powerbook to Leopard and I just have to say wow, the new dock, time machine, spaces and such are awesome. If you have an Apple that can run, I recommend it.
On a sad note, I no longer qualify to train through Apple's retail training site now that I work with Office Depot. It's a shame I love learning about Apple, and while we don't sell Apple the info learned still is valuable- even if it only helps with the sales of software for Mac.
Wow, its been awhile since my last post. I've been experimenting with recording my poetry using Garageband and a Logitech usb premium headset. Comes out nice and perhaps when I finalize my recordings I will share them on my main site, located at http://homepage.mac.com/thepoetrydude/
It's really been fun. I also have a nice little project coming up and if you have any suggestions on components, please tell me. I am building a new power house desktop pc. I will run a 64 bit version of Vista, eith Home Premium or Ultimate. A Intel® Core™2 Quad Q6700 processor and a Intel® Desktop Board DG33TL Media Series motherboard. I also have already gotten 2 GB of Corsair DDR2 PC6400 memory and may add another 2GB. I'm still haven't decided on a case or a video card. I could even get by with the onboard video for now. I'll probably stick with the onboard audio for now. But if I do upgrade that it will be a Creative XFi card. I've thought about the Ati HD 2900 and the invidia geforce 8600 or 8800 series cards. But seriously I don't want to break the bank and still want enough performance to work with video editing and maybe some gaming. I'm thinking I'll start wtith a Western Digital Raptor drive as my primary for the OS and and Applications and will probably try and add a Seagate barracuda 1tb drive for files and storage, maybe even another as time goes by. I've got two Son'y 18x dvd burners and plan on using one, maybe two. The drawback is that this motherboard doesn't have much connectivity options. I only have one pci slot, but atleast I have a few smaller pci express slots if I can find cards that use them. From there I'll just have to worry about the little things, but this will be a sweet rig. I may run ethernet cable to this machine, but I also have a linksy wireless N USB adapter and I am also considering a drive bay for pc cards, express cards. I can't wait to build it.But first while I gather components I have to build a desk and setup my new office/ workstation which requires running power across the yard. woo hoo.
Anyway, I'm out and what do you think?
