Comic Con ended with a Jinkies! on Sunday followed by a Yikes!
Comic Con is always awesome and I can’t wait for next year. That being said, the convention we all love is in trouble. The San Diego Convention center, although huge, is getting over crowded during Comic Con. The solution being pushed is an expansion of the Convention Center. Voting on that should take place around september. And something else important to note is the Comic Con’s contract with the convention center ends in 2012. So if something doesn’t change in the next few years, Comic Con may be wooed by other cities to leave San Diego. Comic Con doesn’t want this and I believe it would be bad for San Diego, which gets a huge economic push every year. Attendees dont just spend their money at the Con, but also all over San Diego. Lets hope The Con of all Cons, Comic Con gets to stay in the Sun of San Diego.
Meanwhile, at Comic Con I got to watch a few movies. Let’s start on the Green side of the reviews. Green Lantern: First Flight, the tale of Hal Jordan and how he becomes a Green Lantern and one of his most challenging adventures. I must say the animation and voice acting was stellar and the story was great. I truly enjoyed the film through and through, but I felt like the story was told well, but not as detailed as I would have liked. I almost had this feeling that something was missing. That being said I do recommend this film, go watch it now. It has lots of action, some humor and overall a movie the whole family can enjoy. Although, I always recommend that parents watch any movie first before they let their younger children watch them.
