The most fun I had at Comic Con was a late night movie that Thomas Jane has been working on. It’s actually still being worked on, it’s not finished. But it is so close. I was lucky enough to catch this film called Give Em Hell, Malone. Thomas Jane wanted our opinion and quite frankly we loved it.
It’s a dark film about a former cop who becomes a gun for hire takes on a job that isn’t as straight as it seems and gives us a ton of action and enough laughs to balance it out.
The opening scene was sweet, that action just caught my attention so well that I couldn’t look away. The rest of the film was mostly the same. I noticed some of the dialogue needs work, the acting was great. But some dialogue scenes seemed stretched or unnecessary. The villains were hardcore and well played, except for the main bad dude boss guy. This character, I felt, wasn’t as tough or bad as he should have been; he was a little weak. But overall, it worked. The movie flows from action to double crossing people to more action and sprinkled in are some wonderful and much needed laughs for a movie going this dark. If you like action, you will like it. And no it’s not gonna be good for kids.
That’s all for now.
