N.A.G.

Before I get into specifics, let me just say thank you to all the wonderful people I met last week at CES and a big shout out to CES for bringing the tech and the people together. CES was big, really big-but after a few hours of reorienting myself to the organizational pathways of the various booths, hall, and rooms; it began to feel like a home  away from home. Yes, I’m a technical guy and that was almost a piece of heaven with all the new and innovated technologies.

I’m going to start providing you some info on three companies we ran into and sure enough I’ll cover more as the week progresses and I get my wits all sorted out and back to sanity! Did I mention all the walking? Great cardio indeed, Batman!

Tesla_Car_Tegra_Display-0084-EditNvidia is making a splash with it’s Tegra 2 chip for mobile devices. Multitasking on a phone or tablet with full on gaming, multimedia and internet browsing with hardware accelerated Flash player built in. New devices are popping up that use the Tegra 2 from smartphones and tablets to cars, yes cars! Tesla will be one of the first and let’s not forget the new LG smartphone; the Optimus 2x. Nvidia also announced the GeForce 500M series of GPUs for the notebooks. These are some powerful chips that are designed to work with the new Intel CPUs.

Let’s slide on down to Antec who has been a strong innovator in the PC upgrade and DIY market with a wide range of computer cases, cooling and accessories. One Hundred_QVThey have brought a few new products to market, such as the new One Hundred case (pictured right) and a few new Power Supply Units for those with high demands. The One Hundred is an awesome case with loads of room for video cards, hard drives and just about everything else in a stylish and very cool design. This bad boy will keep your components cool and still adequately easy to get in and out, making upgrades a snap. The the new High Current Gamer line of PSUs are more than enough to power even the toughest rigs; ranging from 750w-1000w.

mb_news_0106_g20Now let’s get over to Gigabyte who announced the G1-Killer series of motherboards. Based on the x58 Intel chipset and with built in Creative Soundblaster X-Fi built on board along with Bigfoot Networks Killer e2100 Networking platform. These bad boys support 4-Way AMD CrossFireX and 3-Way SLI! A new heatpipe designed dissipate heat incredibly quick and is designed after modern military weaponry. These three models, the G1.Assassin, the G1.Sniper, and the G1.Guerrilla, are bound to blow away the competition when paired with a new Core i7 Extreme CPU!

These are just a few of the things that have come from some big names in the world of Computing at the biggest tech show, CES!
