Whiteley Beats Fox- A TF3 Review

It was June 28th and I had just gotten off work after a long day and headed out to the theater for what I expected to be a good solid movie. I hoped in my car, got my Zune playing the original 1986 animated film’s soundtrack to pump me up. And it was bumping!

Fast forward to a crowded theater waiting for the movie to start and you could feel the excitement of the crowd. Some anxious, some worried and others still just exploding with excitement. I will admit I have yet to see it in 3D, but oh I will. Yes, That is a must!

There was a perfect balance between the role of robots and humans, it felt personal to the extent that I was captivated. I couldn’t help but wince or cheer throughout the film. And as for acting, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley did a spot on job as Carly. Carly is another character that originates from G1! Personally, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was a much better addition to the story than Megan Fox. Shia LeBeouf did another excellent job portraying Sam Witwicky.

The gravity of the battles and story line was intense. It really sucked me in. Imagine a Decepticon shooting a group of humans and watching the bones fall where they lay. What a Ride! We also get many factors and throwbacks to the original G1 cartoons that I shall not list as not to spoil you.

Comparatively, Dark Of The Moon is the best movie of the live action franchise yet! Too bad it may be the last, but somehow I suspect with the success Hasbro has had and an apparent interest from Spielberg to continue- we just might get a new launch of movies.

Let me break it down: This movie rocked! Acting was solid with few scenes that distracted you, but for good reason. The soundtrack fit to a T! To the point where it blended and did not distract. The voice acting was perfect thanks to veterans Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, and a cast of new to the franchise actors (though some did voice in the previous live action films). On that note the first time Shockwave and Soundwave uttered a sentence my spine tingled! Frank Welker did just as good a job as he did in G1! Peter Cullen is the definitive voice of Optimus Prime and Hugo Weaving has continued to impress as Megatron. The cinematography was enjoyable and easy to follow even with all the big bad battles. But be warned, there are little things that you can see in the background of many of the battle scenes that just make it all the more compelling. The designs, the cgi and all the special effects were just perfectly realistic. I can only imagine how much more the 3D version will drag you in. This is easily one of the best movies of the summer. Awesome is the best word. Go forth, transform and watch it! You will enjoy it. It maybe a little dark, but there is also some levity to keep it real. And the added cast of Autobots and Decepticons is just icing on the Spacebridge!
