A few things to write today, to read tomorrow.

As many of you know, I really enjoy writing. I prefer poetry to most every other type of works, but I do dabble in short stories every now and again. Actually, I'm working on one right now, though I doubt it to be much even when I complete it. Anyway, I thought I'd share this link with you. It's my profile over at faithwriters.com and some of my poetry is there, as they do a weekly challenge and I try to get an entry in each week. So check it out, you may see some poetry of mine that you've not read. Just go to my profile at faithwriters.com by clicking here or by copying and pasting this address in your browser, http://faithwriters.com/member-profile.php?id=9745
I will try and add a link to it on the sidebar of my page here in the short future, maybe even later today!

I heard a story on the news the other day about Abraham Lincoln that I found most revolting. I didn't hear the whole story, but they are trying to say that he is gay. Guess what? He was not! How dare you attack the character of this great man! No he wasn't perfect, but he was a firm believer in Jesus Christ. They base their idea on the fact that he often slept in the same bed with another man, but any historian can tell you that in that time it was not uncommon for two men to share a bed at night, sometimes there were not enough for each to his own. But they did nothing but sleep, I assure you. Life at the time was hard, you were lucky to have a roof over your head. Lincoln rose to become a great leader. They are, right now, trying to convince the world that being gay is okay, but it is not- The Bible and Word of God teaches against such acts.
But I will not preach to you, saying that you are doing this or that and that they are sinful and that you should not do them. I will do as the Lord commands and preach unto you of Salvation.

There was a festival or convention for gay activists that was held a month or so ago. A group of Christians stood outside on the sidewalk preach of the sins of homosexuality. They were wrong to do so, they should have been preaching and teaching of God's love, Christ's death and resurrection. Teach people of God's love and mercy and let God change their lives, don't get into their face and tell them what they are doing wrong! Let them come to know God, then God will show them what they need to change in their lives. These people, though their intentions were well meaning, probably did more harm than good. So please do as God commands and Let God change the hearts of men. Unfortunately, these same people were victimized and thrown in jail for exercising the freedom of speech, and this was in the United States. So pray for them.

Finally as you probably know, Elections are taking place in Iraq. What a blessing it is! Yet some people here in the U.S. and Abroad want the elections to fail. Why? Because some of those people are terrorists and don't want to lose any foothold they have left. Others want it to fail just so they can say that President Bush failed on something. How these people sleep at night, I know not. But they would rather condemn people to living in fear, torture and abuse all for the sake of politics. These people are just as bad as the terrorist, in my opinion. They condone them, even if they have not said as much aloud.

God Bless.
Pray for the men and woman of our armed forces, our government officials and those in the middle east who seek freedom.
