Katrina

Chances are you've heard the news.....Hurricane Katrina has caused death and devestation in the areas of the Gulf Coast. Watch the news if you haven't, it's sad. Many displaced, lost everything, and some lost their lives. Communications are down and make it difficult, but the President has called in the big boys of our armed forces to help out. They are working hard, and the victims though they may not see it are now in a similiar situation as the victims of the Tsunami not long ago. Anyway, you can help just head on over to www.redcross.org and donate if you can. Every dollar will help. And don't forget to pray for those affected.

What do You Think?

Though people and agencies were on guard, no one was truly prepared for a disaster of this magnitude. It was really two huge devastations occuring one after the other. My heart is heavy for all the victims and those doing the rescuing. My prayers are with them many times throughout each day, as I'm sure many others are doing. These people need help from each and everyone of us. We need to pull together as never before.
"There but for the grace of God go I"
This may be a wake up call. This may only be the beginning of many natural disasters. God tells us the signs of the beginning of the time of the end in the Bible. Could this be a sign? We need to seek God first and formost in our lives, and trust Him who created the heavens and the earth and holds it all in place.
I have admired the faith of so many of the victims of Katrina. It's a real testimony.
