Hey folks,
I just got home from having a rocking good time at the 38 Special concert at Viejas. The venue being their dreamcatcher lounge is small and very acoustic, I like it. As for the concert well, you know they put on a good show. Unfortunately Donnie Vanzant is still recovering and was unable to perform, but they rocked on and rocked us through the night. The energy and excitement drifted to the crowd and myself and the place was on fire. They played songs from their early years, the 80's, and their new album, Drivetrain, which is an awesome album. I would go so far as to say the experience was rivitting, but then again that word really doesn't mean anything. lol. It was a blast and I look forward to seeing them again. My prayers go out to Donnie Vanzant for a speedy and healthy recovery. And also for his brother Johnny Vanzant of the Lynyrd Skynyrd band(but you knew that right?) who recently had surgery, that he recovers quickly and healthy too. Anyway, it was awesome and well worth the drive and all. Rock on everybody.
