New computer time

Well, my computer still runs fine for the most part, but it is a few years old and has some minor problems. Anyway, I'm gonna build a new one and leave that one running as is. Why would I build a new machine rather than buy one and build it up? Well, while it is cheaper and easy to just buy a new machine, it is not as easy to customize the way you want it. But anyway, if you want to do that I would reccomend the HP A1250n which features an awesome Athlon 64x2, PCIE for your best video card performance and Plenty of SATA connectors to get you that Terabyte of data or more. Check it out some time, it retails for about $900. Add a new video card and a new sound card and some ram and you've got an awesome system.

Anyway, for once it looks like I may go with Intel. Both AMD and Intel are worth the money, but for gaming and such I would normally choose AMD, but simply because I'll be getting a great deal on Intel processor and M/B I'll go with Intel. This is what I'm looking at putting together:

For the CPU I will choose an Intel® Pentium® D processor 820
The MotherBoard will be Intel® Desktop Board D945PSN
I plan on adding 4GB of DDR2 667 memory probably at 1GB at a time, lol. It ain't cheap
For sound it will be none other than The Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro
Graphics is tricky, I will go with ATI although I'm not sure whether to use the X850 or the x1250 that is soon to come out. Either way, I'll go with the All in Wonder version.
The Hard drive will be SATA of course and I'll be putting 4 drives in there at some point, they will be 400gb Seagate NL35 Series.
Now the the other drive will be a DVD+/-DL w/Lightscribe since thats the best at this point.
I'll be adding it to my Wireless network with one of Belkin's newer G+ cards
No FLOPPY!!! LOL. Um, maybe a multi card reader.
As for a Case I'll be looking for something with plenty of room and Stylish.
I Prefer a water cooling system and atleast 600 watt power supply, which will be the latest by Antec.
I'll top it all off with a fresh copy of Windows XP Pro and whatever else I need in software.
I'll use NOD32 for Antivirus and probably Spysweeper for antivirus protection.

So what do you think? What else do I need if anything? Any Questions?
